WordPress Website

The Canadian Network for Ocean Education (CaNOE) is a not-for-profit that promotes ocean literacy through their own programs and curated resources.

CaNOE’s website was outdated and didn’t allow their team to make edits and updates. The goal was to build a new website that reflected their current brand, was easy to update and showcased their programs, events, and encouraged new members to sign up.

Working with CaNOE, we were able to revamp their sitemap and remove outdated content. We also introduced a document library which allows for them to organize their content and edit it easily. We integrated CaNOE’s membership and event tool into the site so they are able to showcase upcoming events and allow users to purchase a membership online without ever leaving their own domain. Additional calls-to-action were added across the site, encouraging users to get involved by either purchasing a membership or making a donation.

The outcome was a fresh, modern, and accessible new website featuring a refreshed look and intuitive navigation. Users can now search and filter the resource library helping them find what they are looking for while the CaNOE team is able to update the site as they please. New imagery properly demonstrates the varying waterways within Canada, while the icons play into the youthful feeling of the overall website.
